OK - I see. Not sure if you can do what you suggest. You may be able use JavaScript to insert the label, though that won't be visible to external validators. I might have time to think about the control part tomorrow.

but actually I was referring to the label control, I would like to add it so that the website could pass the WCAG v1 level A at least. Can I build my own search control and pack it with the skin ? (copy/paste search.ascx/vb to local_resource directory.

By the way, every time I validate the site through WCAG v2 A level, I get the following warning:

E872 [WCAG v2 3.2.2 (A)] The
submit button is missing:
<form name="Form".......

It happens with every DNN website.
As you can see my main goal is to increase the website's accessibility without going to the core of dnn.. hard mission.

Nice tweak, works quite well locally,
however I have an issue since I only have Administrator privileges on the live site and I can't mess around with ~/Admin/Skins/Search.ascx, is it possible to create a customized search control and embed it with the skin ?
